What is a Doula?

For those of you who haven’t heard of the word doula let me explain it to you.

Doula means ‘women’s servant’ in Greek. Doulas are professionally trained and experienced in childbirth and aim to help mothers and families to have a memorable and positive experience.

As a childbirth professional a doula will provide educational, emotional and physical support to expecting mums and families during pregnancy, birth and beyond.
